My best friend recently got engaged and I could not be happier for her! I’m so thankful she’s found the woman of her dreams – they are truly meant to be.
We got together to celebrate them and have their joint bachelorette party. There were a few of us in charge of planning and I have to say we did a great job.
Drew and I had traveled to Carlton Landing near Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma recently and I thought it would be perfect for a mini girl’s trip for the celebration. It was so easy to book and you can learn more about that on their website here as well as my blog post on Carlton Landing here.
I found a great house, Prosecco Point, that accommodated 10 guests which is exactly the amount of people invited to the event. It was affordable and everyone had a bed to sleep in.
Next was the fun stuff! The bridesmaids got together and we each planned out food, games and decorations.
Thanks to Etta we had an amazing charcuterie board, both savory and sweet and it was to die for. Seriously, it looks like it is straight out of a magazine and it tasted even better.
We picked up some frozen pizzas at a nearby grocery store and had cupcakes, a cake and plenty of beverages to choose from, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Needless to say, we had plenty of food and drinks for a fun night in.
Katy did such a great job putting together some fun activities and games along with prizes.
“Ring Hunt” where you hide several rings around the house and we hunt for them. Whoever has the most rings or points wins.
“Kiss the Miss Goodbye” where you can snap a polaroid, put on some lipstick and “kiss” the board. Then the guests can sign a note or their name for the bride or brides to be.
“Most Bracelets” where guests each get x amount of glow stick bracelets to start out. As the night goes on, if someone mentions one of the words (we used the brides’ names and the word “wedding”) they have to finish their drink and give that person one of their bracelets. Whoever has the most bracelets at the end of the night wins.
“Guess the Number of Kisses” This is a fun and easy game where each guest writes their name and their guess on a card. Whichever guest guesses the closest to the actual number wins. It’s harder than it looks – pro tip: there are always more than you would think there are! Haha.
I love putting together party favors and goodie bags for the guests when I’m throwing an event and a bachelorette party is no exception.

I put together this cute “Oh Shit Kit” bag to remedy any hangovers for the next morning.
These bags included:
It doesn’t have to be over the top, just a little something to show some appreciation for the guests who were able to take time out of their lives and celebrate the brides.
